Healthwatch Northamptonshire and the Young Leaders launched "A Report on a Survey of Young People’s Wellbeing in Northamptonshire".
Thank you to everyone who came to this event and helped to make it a great success. We had 141 people attend the conference and give their views on health and social care services for young people within Northamptonshire.
One young person left us this comment “great range of presentations, groups and speakers, great attendance from young people who are so passionate about local services”.
One feature of the conference was the question time panel made up of decision makers from health and social care. The tables of young people asked the panel some very searching questions on how they provide health and social care services to young people. One young person commented “I think having a panel was really good to make sure something happens after this rather than just talking”.
After lunch the young people took part in fun activities including:
Arts and Crafts.
Big Brother Style Video Room
The market place ran all day enabling young people to pick up useful information.
We are in the process of putting together all the views and experiences you shared with us and will produce a report soon. We will also keep you up-to-date on the development of a Young people’s Healthwatch. Keep an eye on our website and on social media for details of our future work with young people.
