Northampton Prostate Cancer Support Group

Supporting men with prostate cancer and their families in the Northampton Area
A man in sunglasses

The Northampton Prostate Cancer Support Group supports men with prostate cancer and their families in the Northampton Area while raising awareness of prostate cancer in the local population.

The support group offers men and their partners a safe space to discuss their fears and concerns about prostate cancer, and are able to support them as we understand their experience.

Like many support groups during this difficult time of COVID restrictions, they have moved their support groups to a monthly Zoom meeting.

Whilst they attract around 20 - 25 members to each meeting, they are concerned that many people living with a diagnosis of Prostate Cancer are unaware of the valuable peer support the group offers to men, their partners and carers as they have been unable to do any awareness raising events or signpost men to the groups service via urology clinics at Northampton General Hospital, as they would normally do.

Coronavirus - New Members and Meetings

They are currently unable to hold their regular monthly meeting at St John's.

As a temporary alternative they are offering Zoom meetings:

  1. Barries Coffee morning: every Wednesday at 11:00am
  2. Members meeting: first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm

If you require a zoom meeting invitation and are not on their email list or are a new member and just want to speak to someone, telephone Barrie on 07396 174 906. The mobile is not always manned so simply leave your name a contact number and they will get back to you as soon as possible.

Alternatively, their email address is northamptonpcsg@gmail.com.
