Professor Will Pope said:

"It’s a great honour for the CTCIC to have been awarded the contract for another 2 years and we will continue to raise the views of the people of Northamptonshire on health and social care issues across the county. We will also now be seeking to recruit a new substantive HWN Advisory Board Chair to take over from me in my role as Interim Chair, and I want to thank all Advisory Board members both past and present, and our Commissioners, for their support during this long and complex process”.

A spokesperson for the North and West Northamptonshire local authority commissioners of the service also said:

“We’re delighted to continue our working with CTCIC for another two years on the Healthwatch Northamptonshire service. The views of residents in Northamptonshire on health and social care have always been pivotal to the planning and design of our services. With the recent move to two new Unitary Local Authorities, development of an Integrated Care System and the impacts of Covid-19, their voice will be more important than ever in helping us understand what services are required locally and how best they should be provided.”
