All at the meeting agreed on the importance of working together to ensure a resolution which meets the needs of the residents of Corby and the surrounding area, engaging actively with residents.

Following the meeting Dr Joanne Watt and Dr David N Jones said:

Corby CCG’s primary concern is to ensure that we meet our responsibilities to local people and is committed to engaging with local residents to explore options which will take account of their views.

Dr Joanne Watt, Clinical Chair

Healthwatch Northamptonshire recognises that difficult decisions have to be made about the allocation of health resources. We all recognise that local people need to be actively involved in decision-making, and there are clearly lessons to be learned about exactly how this has been done in Corby. We look forward to supporting the CCG in addressing this.”
