Current and former Armed Forces members in Northamptonshire are being urged to help shape services by taking part in an online survey. The survey by Healthwatch Northamptonshire aims to help the Armed Forces Community Covenant Partnership address issues such as the return to civilian life and health care and draw up the first ever map of the size and scale of the Armed Forces community in Northamptonshire.
The survey will run from the 1 February until the 9 April 2018.
Young Healthwatch Northamptonshire is the first group in the county to win the Investing in Children Award!
We are extremely proud of our young volunteers who keep inspiring us. Their desire to create positive impact around health and social care locally is a proof that their voices are truly heard, and as a result, awarded accordingly. With over 500 members, the Investing in Children is an organisation which provides research and participation services to other organisations that work with children and young people, and is very commited to their human rights.
A big thank you to everyone who attended our YHW Relaunch! The day was filled with a lot of insightful advice, a new chair-person was appointed, and our young people got to learn a lot of new skills including how to paint a canvas and how to make a raft!
Thank you to all that attended and made our Annual Meeting a great opportunity to network. Attendees found out more about what Healthwatch Northamptonshire achieved in 2016/17 and heard from Jane Mordue from Healthwatch England.
Our vision: Healthwatch Northamptonshire will be a strong, resolute and independent community champion. We will give local people a voice and work in partnership to influence the design and quality of health and social care provision so that all local people have an opportunity for an improved quality of life.
