    A group of young volunteers from Young Healthwatch Northamptonshire and Shooting Stars (a group for young people in Northamptonshire with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities) spent the day at the children’s areas at Kettering General Hospital.

    Healthwatch volunteers and staff asked 565 people in the waiting areas at Northampton General Hospital A&E, Kettering General Hospital A&E and Corby Urgent Care Centre about their experiences of A&E and urgent care.

  28. 15 Steps Visits to Kettering General Hospital: Summary and Impact Report

    Two of our volunteers visited wards and departments at Kettering General Hospital 43 times between April 2019 to March 2020 to provide the hospital with feedback using the 15 Steps Challenge tool. Their findings have been summarised into a report.

    Your feedback from 2020 suggested that more people were providing care to their loved ones during the pandemic and the changes to services had put extra strain on carers. In 2021, we set out to find out more about the experiences of unpaid carers.

    This year has been a very difficult one for everybody. While Healthwatch could not visit health and social care premises, we were still able to investigate the impact of the pandemic on people's access to the services that matter to them most.
